Yurts - Glamping in Dundee & Angus
What is glamping? It's camping but with a few more creature comforts. Both our yurts have a double bed, sofa and cosy wood burner. On site, there is access to a refurbished toilet and shower block, and there's loads of outdoor space to sit and chill or prepare food. Alpaca is our biggest yurt with a 5m footprint, space for two double beds, and lots of unique touches; Peahen is 4.2m and enjoys a comfy double bed, sofa and is fully equipped for cosy nights in. With prices from £79 a night for a midweek stay. You can also add a 1 hour slot in the hot-tub, or a scandi-hut experience, animal feeding and more, from £10 to £25.
Peahen
Sleeps two persons, has a skylight and windows. The thick insulated canvas and wood burner keeps you cosy on the cold nights. Outside there is a private area to sit and cook, eat, drink and get back in touch with nature.
Alpaca
Sleeps two persons but if two friends want their own double bed, this can be accommodated. LED lighting helps create a nice ambience, and coir matting and ethnic rugs in each yurt helps keep you cosy.
All Year Round Camping
In the summer, the windows can be fully open, and in the winter they can be sealed with insulated canvas. A Smithy woodburner can chuck out 4KW of heat in each yurt, ensuring you are warm and dry, whatever the Scottish weather throws at you.
Feels like your miles away from the city
Despite being less than 15 minutes from Dundee city centre, you will feel like you're in a different world; but if you want to order a takeaway, no problem. The sound of the Dighty Burn trickling by aids your relaxation if you're not out walking the hills and woodland behind. And don't forget your furry and wooly neighbours: goats, sheep and alpacas.
